THE BRAND NEW YVES SAINT-LAURENT MUSEUM!

On October 3rd, the brand new Yves Saint Laurent Museum opened its doors in Paris!

The Pierre Bergé Foundation has renovated its spaces to house the unique body of work left behind by Yves Saint-Laurent, a true icon in the world of high fashion.

450 square meters of space is dedicated to fully-finished designs displayed on mannequins, as well as models and sketches, and photo and video displays that retrace the life and work of Yves Saint-Laurent. The historic studio of the designer and his former salons are also open to the public.

Anyone who’s interested in the history of fashion will find a wealth of information in the Yves Saint Laurent Museum, the first museum dedicated to a famous designer to have such a large collection in Paris. There are so many beautiful, rare objects and designs to see at this exhibit!

So don’t wait, head on over to 5 avenue Marceau, in the 16th arrondissement… You will not be disappointed.

Interesting tidbit: the Paris museum opened on the same day as the Yves Saint-Laurent Museum in Marrakesh!

This spectacular museum houses a permanent collection, a space for temporary collections, a photo gallery, an auditorium, archives and a library.
